Academy of Business Operations
    PROGRAM DESCRIPTION

   This academy provides an overview of current business information systems and trends, and introduces students to the skills required for today’s business environment. Emphasis is placed on high-level office procedures, tasks and communication skills through the use of technology.  The curriculum is designed to enhance technical skills and develop professional work ethics and the soft skills required in today's offices.

   Students earn their first Occupational Completion Point (OCP) A credit after successfully completing Business Systems & Technology. OCP B is earned after completing Administrative Office Technology and Business Software Applications and OCP C is earned after completing Digital Design.

  The program consists of a     
    sequence of four courses:

*Computing for College & Careers
*Administrative Office Technology
*Business Software Applications
*Digital Designs

           Career Opportunities
           Information Technology Assistant
             Front Desk Specialist
  Assistant Digital Production Designer
           Administrative Assistant

              Business Employers
        Experiences for D.W. Waters    
    students are coordinated with local  
                   businesses.

Student Supply List
3 ring binder with pockets
   -For notes, handouts, and graded     
    work
 
Lined loose-leaf notebook paper
 -For bell work, journal entries,   
   class assignments, and quizzes/tests

Pencils/Pens (black/blue)

$22.00 for FBLA dues and t-shirt
***CAREER ATTIRE

Please note that all students in the Business Operations Program are required to wear the following career attire EVERYDAY.

Black, navy blue or khaki long pants with light blue collared shirts with closed toe shoes. Shirts are to be tucked in at all times.
