[Marker]                          Design Services              Fashion Show Pics Design Services   PROGRAM DESCRIPTION   The purpose of this program is to prepare students for initial employment in the Fashion Design Industry.      The program consists of a         sequence of four courses:  *Design Services Core  *Principles of Fashion Design       Services  *Pattern Design Techniques  *Fashion Design Specialist       Business Employers            Department Stores             Private Businesses       Clothing Manufacturers           Consignment Shops      Career Opportunities                       Sales                   Designers               Manufacturing            Machine Operator         Working with Interior            Clothing Line Designer Student Supply List Large tool box with a lock  *(purchase in tool section of a   department store) 1 pair No. 8-inch bent heavy-duty     fabric shears 1 pair ultra sharp 8-inch all purpose    scissors 1 pair 4-inch curved embroidery       scissors for snipping threads 1 seam ripper 1 tracing wheel 1 seam gauge 1 pin magnet 1 package extra fine glass head    straight pins 1 package of hand sewing needles 1 tape measure 1 (2-pack) fine tip sharpie      permanent markers 1 (4-pack colored) high lighters 1 - (8 1/2 by 11) spiral sketch pad 1- 3 ring (1-inch) binder 24 dividers with tabs Student Dues   Family Career and Community Leaders of America (FCCLA) Student organization dues $20.00 for the year, students are expected to become members of their student organization. Career Attire White Collared Shirt Black Pants (No Jeans) Other Information   Please label your tool box and all supplies. In addition to these supplies, you will need to purchase fabrics, threads and other items as needed to complete class projects and activities. You will be given ample time to purchase these supplies.
